CARIN KRAUT COHEN
Carin was a marketing director of a large investment firm before leaving the corporate world to raise a family. She is the mother of five children, each a year apart, now in their teens. For several years she had two or three children in diapers at the same time. She was pregnant with her fifth child when her middle child was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia that required frequent trips to hospitals, then daily trips to receive intensive chemotherapy nearly an hour's drive away. After a couple of years a lifesaving bone marrow donor was found, leading the family to travel across the country for a 4-month stay in a Ronald McDonald House while her son was being treated. Along with the emotional demands of such an experience, the daily demands of packing diapers, wipes and baby needs were relentless. Her interest in creating convenient baby products grew out of her experience not only as a mother but also as a competitive athlete who has traveled near and far to competitions with her own little fan club in tow. Whether preparing a family outing (to the seashore or to the hospital) or training for a triathlon or marathon, preparation is essential.

HENRIETTA E. RENZI
Henrietta worked in the legal field until her son was diagnosed with autism at age two. She then took leave to devote her full time to childrearing. Having a child with special needs required an extra two years in potty training and much changing on-the-go. Unwilling to deny her son and herself family outings and travel vacations despite the extra attention her son required, Henrietta learned to be prepared at all times. An "accident" in a pool would add stress to everyone's day. Carrying an oversize bag was cumbersome. Henrietta learned the importance of being prepared for small accidents so that she could concentrate on the larger challenges of parenting. Henrietta co-founded Baby Buns On The Run to make life a little more convenient for a challenging and demanding lifestyle.

Henrietta and Carin have had vastly different parenting experiences, yet they created Baby Buns On The Run armed with one of the primary lessons of childrearing: that by being prepared for small "accidents" one is better prepared should more significant challenges arise. To honor the significant challenges that the founders and many other parents face, a portion of profits from our products will be donated to autism, juvenile diabetes, and leukemia research.
